Shopkick, Coresight Research, and Fashwire are partnering to launch 10.10, a new shopping holiday designed to drive earlier holiday shopping demand and revitalize retail amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Retailers will benefit from 10.10 through increasing store traffic and pulling forward holiday shopping, with the latter designed to help alleviate supply-chain pressures against the backdrop of the COVID-19 crisis.
With many consumers planning to avoid shopping in-store this year on major shopping days like Black Friday, 10.10 provides an opportunity to encourage consumers to return to stores before the holiday rush, to shop safely and at excellent price points.
As COVID-19 continues to upend all aspects of the retail environment and the economic toll weighs on, this new annual festival is designed to benefit both retailers and consumers ahead of an uncharted holiday season.
The three day shopping event aims to increase revenue for merchants and help them compete with other popular shopping holidays like Amazon Prime Day, and also reward shoppers with savings for crossing off their lists early -- all while supporting St. Jude's Children's Hospital.®
Sponsoring brands and retailers will receive premium placement in all Shopkick event messaging, encouraging safe in-store shopping, driving foot traffic to retailers, products in-hand, and omni-channel sales prior to the holiday rush.
On 10.10 (Oct. 10), and throughout the Shopper Appreciation Weekend (Oct. 9 - 11), shoppers will earn major rewards in the form of ‘kicks’ (Shopkick’s rewards currency) for visiting and purchasing from participating retailers and brands, both online and offline.
Shopkick's previous "Big-Kick" weekends have driven 600K+ store trips, 117 million in-hand product engagements, and +22% more purchases in-store and online.
Research shows that most consumers plan to holiday shop earlier than ever this year. This event will help retailers keep up with demand now, and through the entire holiday season.
Shopkick uses rewards rather than discounts to drive incremental shopping behaviors like visiting stores, engaging with products, and making purchases in-store and online.
Shopkick will match 5 percent of all “kicks” (reward points) earned throughout the weekend and donate the monetary value to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
